#DatumHomesForAll is now officially launched

It was a joyous day filled with games, free food, and exciting prizes.

On Saturday, on the 6th of October 2018, the #DatumHomesForAll was finally launched to the public. The event was held at Datum Galleria, Jalan U-Thant, Kuala Lumpur, and was officiated by the Menteri Besar of Selangor, YAB Tuan Haji Amirudin Shari.

The launch of the campaign saw the reveal of the Datum Tap mobile game, a first of its kind gamification of a corporate and social responsibility (CSR) project in Malaysia aimed at helping to build houses for the Orang Asli community, and also the launching of the home ownership and investment packages for Datum Jelatek, Datumcorp International’s first foray into the property development market under their flagship Datum series.

Speaking in his officiating speech, the Menteri Besar of Selangor said that the launching of the #DatumHomesForAll campaign clearly shows the coherence and togetherness between all the parties involved with the campaign and the Selangor state government in providing and conserving sustainable development to the general public.

He further mentioned that he is proud with the launching of the Datum Tap mobile game, praising the initiative taken by Datumcorp and Epic Homes, its strategic partner. “The gamification (of a CSR) project has become a two-pronged medium that does not just create brand awareness for Datum Jelatek.”

Among other highlights of the day was the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the CEO of Datumcorp International, Shytul Shahryn Mohamad Shaari, and the CEO and founder of Epic Homes, John-Son Oei, marking their collaboration as well as the launch of the Datum Tap mobile game.

 

Speaking in his speech before the officiating of the campaign, the CEO of the non-profit organization Epic Homes, John-Son Oei, hopes that with the launching of this campaign, it will be set as an example for other companies, be it government or private companies, to follow suit, whereby a CSR campaign or project is not just about the monetary values, but also adding moral and other precious values, as well as getting everyone involved in providing support to the underprivileged citizens of Malaysia.

 

Visitors of the campaign launch event, which was open to the public, were presented with special performances by Choo Haoren and the Mustang Crew dance group. Also, free lunch was also provided by Legumes, and there were also other fun activities for the public such as archery, and virtual reality (VR) gaming.

Contests were also held, where lucky winners stand a chance to win an Oppo F9 smartphone or a Sony PlayStation 4 gaming console.

The Datum Tap mobile game is now available in the Google Play Store, and the Apple App Store.
